From the Dashboard, click on Teacher Access.
Click My Gradebook.
Open gradebook for a specific class.
Click Assignments.
Choose Add Assignment.
Complete assignment details.
Category– Choose appropriate
Description– Enter description and details (Shows for parents)
Assignment Group– optional
Assign Date– Enter date assigned
Proposed Due Date– If differs from the actual due date, pay attention to grading period ending date.
Actual Due Date- Determines what grading period in which the grade will be averaged.
Max Score– Enter max score
Weight Multiplier– Keep at 1
Copy assignment to other classes by checking appropriate box next to each class.
Parents see the description!
Be sure to make it understandable to anyone that will see the description. Try to be more descriptive than "WK 1 Spelling test". Maybe include what the focus is for the spelling test. This will also come in handy when there may be a long-term sub involved and others can help decipher the content of the assignment.
Enter an Assignment.
Click the Assignment Title in the gradebook.
Choose Score Entry.
Enter scores.
Special Codes– see key on right
Comments– shows for parents
No Count– does not average
Missing– checkbox averages a zero
Comments– are viewed by parents. Do not post emotional comments!
Mass Assign– assign all one grade, then change the few that need changing.
From the Dashboard, click on Teacher Access.
Click My Gradebook.
Open the gradebook for a specific class.
Click directly on the asterisk.
Enter score.
From the Dashboard, click on Teacher Access.
Click My Gradebook.
Open the gradebook for a specific class.
Click Quick Score from top menu.
Enter scores.
From the Dashboard, click on Teacher Access.
Click My Gradebook.
Open the gradebook for a specific class.
Click on a student's name.
Choose Edit Current Term.
Enter all assignment scores.
Teacher's log - write notes regarding students. Teacher can choose whether it shows for parents.
